My sister and I stayed at this wonderful all-inclusive for 5 days and 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the views, central location, and accommodations. The food was delicious, and the staff that hosted us has become like distant family. It is located close to the beaches, restaurants, and Jolly Harbour - since it was Covid season we were Hesitant to travel at first but after we were relieved that we did. Cocos attention to detail and cleanliness was impeccable and we always felt safe. If ever in Antigua and looking for a warm atmosphere, filled with beautiful people, and views stay here! We will definitely be back, see u next time Antigua.
A truly fantastic 21 nights
We normally spend 3 weeks over Christmas and New Years in Barbados but due to the quarantine restrictions we made the decision to visit Antigua instead, what a fantastic decision we made. From the moment we arrived at Cocos Hotel we were upgraded to a sunset room, cottage 21 for our 21 night stay. It was picture perfect and fantastic sunsets. During our stay, the friendliness of the staff was outstanding, the owner Andrew regularly chatted to my wife and I daily. Every staff member looked like they enjoyed there jobs and I never saw anybody without a smile on their face. A special shout out goes to Orane, the best bar tender on the beach bar, always playing happy sounds, to get the guests dancing in the bar, making fantastic cocktails. The hotel went all out, and exceeded all expectations on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. Two fantastic nights with amazing food and entertainment, the guests and the staff danced the night away on both occasions, probably the best festive times we’ve ever had. We spent our days on the Valley Church beach, the bar and Wayne’s grill were both fab, everything you could ask for on a paradise beach. A mention has to go out to the local beach vendors, who entertained us daily. During our stay we had Lyndons lobster lunch FIVE times. We went on two trips organised by Myron. We did watersports with Peter. ‘Angie Babe’, what can I say, we bought something off her everyday, if she didn’t have what you want, she would provide it the next day lol. The overall memories from this hotel is not only the staff but the wonderful couples we had the pleasure of meeting which will last a lifetime. Barbados or cocos hotel for 2021?.... cocos I think you may have just have the edge. Rebooking as soon as lockdown ends. See you all soon (room 21 please) Glenn & Lorraine Walker
We extended our stay in Antigua due to the lockdown in London and without a doubt picking Cocos boutique hotel as our next destination was the best choice! From the moment we checked in we had the most amazing service from Namene Rodgers, she was so welcoming and lovely and upgraded us to a stunning sunset room which was literally like heaven in earth, breath taking views, unbelievably clean and just so quaint. We was shown straight to lunch where once again the wait staff were so helpful with their recommendations and the food was outstanding. We had just left another all inclusive hotel which wasn’t nearly as good as Cocos and with all inclusive you come to expect less than average food but I can assure you cocos does not fail in the food department at all...absolutely divine. We have travelled the whole of the Caribbean and yet to find better jerk chicken than what we received from Howayne on the beach, authentic Caribbean taste and such a warm lovely guy. My partner bumped into the owner outside our room and even himself was so accommodating and asking if there was anything he could improve...just impeccable service all round. Cocos is an absolute find ...we have one day left and we just don’t want to leave this hotel. Unbelievably clean, amazing service and the most stunning scenery your ever see ...perfection.
Rustic, Charming and Perfect
We just returned from Cocos in late December. Our trip had been rescheduled 4 times. There are not enough great things I can say about this perfectly rustic and charming resort. Starting with the staff. Kris in reservations was AMAZING from the 1st time we booked in June. We even spoke on the phone a time or 2 when we had to reschedule. Kris personally took it upon himself to come find me at the beach to meet me. The beautiful Anishia. The BEST and hardest working bartender. She serves great drinks and when she is slow or has time will serve you on the beach and even clean off your lounge while you are in the water. Anizia - the girl can dance and has a warm smile for you whenever she sees you! Wayne - if you dont eat his jerk chick on Valley Church Beach at least twice a day - well, you're missing out! To the rest of the staff (I hope I don't forget anyone), Franklyn, Waseba, Sheeren, Stephen, Vere, Collete, Janelle (I remember your birthday), Nicolette, you were all a dream and played such a HUGE factor in a perfect vacation. We spent the majority of our time on Valley Church Beach. It was beautiful and the water was perfect. We did the couples massage and it was one of the BEST I and my husband have EVER had. Ask for Sharon and Tarcy. You will not be sorry. The food is good and served plated and al fresco. A lot of fresh fruit and vegetables. Our room was PERFECT. I highly recommend a Sunset Pool room. We watched the most beautiful sunsets from our room every night. The beds are so comfy. Oh, and can we talk about the showers!?!?! Outdoors and spa like!!! PERFECTION. COVID (ugh that I feel like I even need to mention it). Everything is outdoors. You are really only indoors when in your room or the spa if you choose. There is hand sanitizer everywhere (including your room) and the staff wear masks all the time. Completely safe. We met the best people and are staying in touch with most of them. It was a week to remember and my husband and I will definitely be back - hopefully sooner rather than later. Thank you for everything, Cocos Team and we will see you soon!!! Jennifer and John Pitts
Lovely way to ring in new year
Beach: the water is stunning and both beaches are beautiful. We had no trouble getting the beach loungers. Each beach has a beach bar where you order drinks. The pina coladas are sooo good! Weather: we were there for 7 days late December to early January and it rained almost every day. Mostly it would go on and off but 2 days it rained the entire time so we didn’t get beach time those days. The water temp isn’t bad. Not freezing but not warm. It’s refreshing to take a dip if the sun is out. Cottages: we stayed in cottage 5 with a plunge pool which was awesome. Had the weather been better, we would have used it more. The cottage is one small room and a bathroom and it’s very bare-bones. Don’t expect much! Food: average to good. I loved the French toast and morning smoothies. The restaurant is lovely with stunning views of the water. I looked forward to dining there each meal. There is BBQ for lunch at each beach bar instead of a sit down lunch. Mosquitos: I used Picaridin sawyer repellent and a bracelet and I was fine. I used it everyday and every night diligently. I wore leggings most dinners. Others didn’t wear repellent and had tons of bites. If you are prone to bites and allergic, just be diligent and you should be fine. Offsite: we had lunch at Dennis which was just okay but very great views and lovely outdoor dining. We LOVED Brasserie in English Harbor. It’s a beautiful setting. We went to Boom for drinks that same day and loved that too. If you are visiting the outdoor museum, you can take a little boat to Boom in front of the hotel at the dock.
